West Orange-Stark junior guard Laquarious Paige and Orangefield senior post Morgan Moss were named to the Class 3A All-Region Teams by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
Paige was a key cog for head coach Jason Wilkins, leading the Mustangs to a 22-11 record and a trip to the area round of the playoffs. The Mustangs finished District 21-3A play with a 10-2 mark to place second.
Paige, also the Most Valuable Player on the All-District 21-3A Team and the All-Orange Leader Team, averaged 15.6 points a game to go along with 7.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
Moss, who was First Team All-District and MVP of the All-Orange Leader Team, helped lead first-year Lady Bobcat coach Katie Sanders to the area round of the playoffs as she averaged over 17 points and nine rebounds a contest.
Silsbee’s Jordan Holmes and Chris Elam also made the boys Class 3A team after leading the Tigers to the 21-3A crown.
Hardin-Jefferson, which finished third in 21-3A, placed Braiden Harmon and Zjori Bosha on the squad.
In Class 4A, Nederland’s Colton Weisbrod and Beaumont Central’s E’Torrian Wilridge made the team while Kountze’s Justin Harper and Jamazdon Powell made the Class 2A unit.
On the girls’ side of the ledger, Beaumont Ozen’s Beloved Brown and Nekia Jones and Beaumont Central’s Malana Washington and Rondeysha Thomas made the 4A Team.
In Class 3A, both Keisha Broussard and Robbie Saunders made it for 21-3A champion Hardin-Jefferson along with Buna’s Madison Franklin.
