Several Orange County girls powerlifters advanced to the State Meet after superb performances at the Regional Championships held at Beaumont West Brook last Thursday.
Little CYpress-Mauriceville’s Kallye Harris will move on after totaling 730 total pounds in the venues of the deadlift, bench press and squat in the 132-pound class. Teammate Courtney Price will join her after she finished second with 640 pounds.
LC-M’s Blythe Ferguson easily won the 220-pound division, totaling 960 pounds, winning by 180 pounds.
Vidor’sTobie Dorn claimed the 123-pound class with 715 pounds while Lady Pirate teammate Mikayla Kohn took the 198-pound class with 865 pounds.
