Four Bridge City High School football players made the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Football Team.
Cardinals Tanner Cervenka, Zach Cole, Alex Goodman and Collin Smith all made the All-State Second Team.
The four Cardinals were among several Aoutheast Texas players that made the All-State Unit.
Silsbee’s Ross Gilchriest made the Elite All-State Team while Buna’s Chris Champion was First Team.
Players joining the Cardinal quartet on the Second Team were Buna’s Blake Smith, Hardin-Jefferson’s Quade Robertson, and Kirbyville’s Willie Dodson and Terion Smith.
Making Honorable Mention were WEvadale’s Jacob Johnson and Wes Williams, Port Neches-Groves’ Tyler Coleman, Steven Mangini and Justin Reasons, and Silsbee’s Karl Elers.
