It was quite a busy day for eight Little Cypress-Mauriceville powerlifters as they shined recently at the American Powerlifting Federation National Meet.
Troy Angleo captured first-place in the 181-pound boys division, totaling 1,270.5 pounds total in the three venues of the squat, dead-lift and bench press. Mitchell Jennings netted first-place in the boys 198-pound division, totaling 1,336.5 pounds.
For the girls, Kalleye Harris won the 132-pound division with 722.7 pounds and Maygin Crosslin took the 165-pound class with 940.5 pounds.
Blythe Ferguson muscled her way to a first-place finish in the 198-pound class with 935 pounds while teammate Abi Davis was a solid second with 786.5 pounds.
