BC CC teams sweep Bulldog Meet

NEDERLAND —

The Bridge City cross country teams strolled to team titles at the Nederland Cross Country Meet Saturday.

Both the Cardinals and Lady Cardinals captured the Class 3A-and-Under team crowns.

For the boys, Johnny Trevino took second-place individually, covering the three-mile course in 18 minutes, 34 seconds. The Cardinals had six medalists (Top 20).

Trevino was followed by teammates Aubrey Harrington (fourth, 18:49, Graydon Glover (sixth, 19:02); Seth Hartman (13th, 19:34), Brent Lebleu (17th, 19:55), Jordan Martin (19th, 20:06), Jordan Fontenot (25th, 20:55), Russell Bozman (27th, 21:11), and Jhett Simmons (49th, 26:11).

Katelyn Porter powered the Lady Cardinals to their team victory, placing second over the two-mile terrain with a time of 14:12.

Porter was followed by teammates Kaitlyn Adams (third, 14:18), Nikkiah Pulliam (eighth, 15:15), Jessica Koopman (11th, 15:33), Tori Richard (14th, 15:49), Leslie Hendrickson (15th, 15:50), Cassie O’Brien (16th, 15:53), Jacey Walker (18th, 16:19), Hannah Story (16:28), and Adriane Cude (30th, 17:23).

The Lady Cardinals had nine medalists that cracked the Top 20.
