ORANGE —
The Orange County Commissioners Court is honoring Dr. Howard Williams, a local historian, during the 2 p.m. Monday meeting.
According to the agenda for the meeting, the court will issue a proclamation for Williams, who recently announced he is stepping down as chairman of the Orange County Historical Commission.
The court will also discuss and take possible action regarding the appointment of the Orange County members to the Orange County Historical Commission.
Prior to the regular meeting there is a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. to present an annual report for the 2012 from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Department.
The meetings will be held in the Orange County Commissioners Courtroom located in the Orange County Administration building at 123 South Sixth Street in Orange.
