BEAUMONT —
Get ready to laugh until your side hurts because comedian George Lopez is coming to town.
Comedian and actor George Lopez brings his stand-up comedy routine to Beaumont on Friday, March 8 inside the Julie Rogers Theatre. Tickets are $39.50-$59.50 each and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18 at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.Ticketmaster.com and charge by phone at 800-745-3000.
Lopez is returning to Beaumont for the first time since his November 2007 performance at the Beaumont Civic Center.
Lopez, who one of the top five highest grossing comedians in the world, has been the star of his own hit sitcom television show, George Lopez, for six seasons on ABC. The sitcom remains a hit in syndication and helped catapult Nick at Night to one of the top ten cable networks.
He has also appeared in numerous movies and even became the host of his own late night talk show on the TBS network in November 2009. Sadly, due to declining ratings and an abundance of talk show options, the cable network canceled his talk show in August 2011.
In addition to his more than 200 television comedy, talk show, and hosting appearances, Lopez has co-hosting the Emmy Awards and twice served as host of the Latin Grammys.
Maintaining an extremely active schedule as a stand-up comedian, George's shows sell-out coast to coast and continuously break attendance records at major theaters and arenas.
According to a press release, in 2006, Lopez received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition Time magazine named him as one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America, and the Harris Poll named him as one of the Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities. Additionally, Lopez was name by TV Guide as one of the Top 50 Greatest Television Dads of All Time.
