Big names and great music have made October one of the most memorable months of the year for concerts. Below is a list of events for the week of Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.
• Oct. 12, 1997 Tracy Byrd performed in Beaumont in support of his October 1996 release, “Big Love,” which featured the Top 5 singles “Don’t Take Her She’s All I Got” and the title track. Also performing were country artists Kenny Chesney and David Kersh.
• Oct. 13, 1997 Rock bands Kansas and Starship performed at Fair Park as part of the South Texas State Fair in Beaumont.
• Oct. 14, 2011 Rock band Bad Company, featuring Brian Howe, performed at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie.
• Oct. 14, 2003 Australian rockers the Little River Band performed at Antone’s on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont.
• Oct. 15, 2011 Country music legend Don Williams performed at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie.
• Oct. 15, 2011 Vickie Winans performed at Ford Arena in Beaumont.
• Oct. 17, 2006 Buckcherry, touring in support of its hit album, “15,” featuring the hit singles, “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry,” performed an outside concert in the Crockett Street Entertainment District in Beaumont. Crossfade opened the show.
