Nationally known artists have been frequent visitors to Southeast Texas on many occasions, and below are just some of the events which have taken place over the years. Here are shows for the week of Nov. 8 - Nov. 14.
• Nov. 9, 2004 Singer and actress Cher performed a sold out concert at Ford Arena in Beaumont. This was the first concert to officially be declared a sell out at the venue.
• Nov. 9, 1992 Country music star Garth Brooks performed at the Beaumont Civic Center in support of his fourth album, “The Chase,” which was released in September 1992 and features the number one singles “That Summer” and “Somewhere Other Than The Night.”
• Nov. 10, 2003 Cheap Trick performed inside the Dixie Dancehall on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont in support of June 2003 release, “Special One.” The CD only charted for one week at number 128 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
