Take a look back at some of the shows which happened in Southeast Texas over the years. Here are some of the shows from Feb. 28 through March 6.
• Feb. 28, 2006 Thousand Foot Krutch, Silvertide and Trapt performed together at Antone’s on Crockett Street in Beaumont.
• March 2, 2001 Singer and songwriter Tom Chapin performed at the Lutcher Theater in Orange.
• March 3, 2012 Trans-Siberian Orchestra returned to Beaumont for the second time in less than 10 months with a concert at Ford Arena as the massive rock band and orchestra performed its concept album, “Beethoven’s Last Night,” in its entirety. This was the opening night of the 2012 tour.
• March 3, 2011 Saving Abel returned to Southeast Texas in support of its June 2010 release, “Miss America,” and joined forces with 10 Years, which was touring behind its August 2010 release, “Feeding the Wolves,” for a standing room only concert at The Gig in Beaumont. Special guest was Red Line Chemistry.
• March 3, 1991 Harry Belafonte performed inside the Lutcher Theater in Orange.
• March 4, 2011 Rock icon Chuck Berry, best known for hit songs such as “Johnny B. Goode,” “Maybellene” and “Roll Over Beethoven,” performed at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie.
• March 4, 1979 Canadian rock trio Rush performed at Fair Park in Beaumont in support of its album, “Hemispheres,” Special guest was April Wine, which was touring in support of its December 1978 release, “First Glance,” the band’s first gold record outside of Canada.
• March 5, 2009 Rock band Dokken, best known for its brand of hard rock and hit songs from the 1980s, featuring founding members Don Dokken and “Wild” Mick Brown, performed at Scout Bar on Crockett Street. The band was touring in support of its May 2008 release, “Lightning Strikes Again.”
• March 5, 2000 That “Little ol’ band from Texas,” ZZ Top, performed a sold out showcase at the Montagne Center on the campus of Lamar University in Beaumont.
• March 6, 2009 Country music singer Travis Tritt performed at Dixie Dancehall in support of his August 2007 release, “The Storm.”
• March 6, 1979 Thin Lizzy arrived in Southeast Texas with a concert at the Beaumont Civic Center in support of its forthcoming album, “Black Rose: A Rock Legend.” Nazareth also performed at this concert as the band was touring behind its 10th album, “No Mean City.”
