PORT ARTHUR —
It’s time to let the good times roll.
Mardi Gras of Southeast is back for another four-day run of music, beads, food and fun in downtown Port Arthur starting Thursday, Feb. 7 and continuing through Sunday, Feb. 10.
This year’s festival will have a slightly different “flavor” to it with country music entertainers Easton Corbin and Chris Cagle headlining Friday and Saturday nights, respectively. This is a noticeable change from having the traditional showcase from Kevin Fowler, but a welcome change.
Admission varies from night to night as well. Admission is $5 at the gate on Thursday, $15 on Friday, $15 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. Children ages 12 and younger are admitted free of charge.
Of course there are carnival rides and a Fun Pass is available for $20, which gets the wristband wearer unlimited rides any one day (only), and there’s no gate fee for carnival admission since the carnival is located outside of the entertainment area.
Tickets are available in advance and will help lower the cost of admission ($2 less on Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and the Fun Pass is also available in advance. Visit www.mardigrasportarthur.com for locations and information or call 409-721-8717 for more details.
