BEAUMONT —
A new project featuring the vocalist of a well-known hard rock act is heading to Beaumont.
Device, featuring David Draiman of Disturbed, will perform on Friday, April 26, at The Gig, which is located in the Crockett Street Entertainment District in downtown Beaumont. Tickets are $22.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, at www.outhousetickets.com. Special guests include Nonpoint and Gemini Syndrome.
Draiman, best known as the vocalist of hard rock act Disturbed, started the new industrial based band with Geno Lenardo, the former guitarist from rock group Filter, in the summer of 2012. The pair quickly hit the studio and began recording new music for what will be the bands soon-to-be-released self-titled debut, which is tentatively set to drop in April.
The new CD will feature numerous guest musicians such as M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, among others.
Lenardo will reportedly not be part of the touring group. Joining Draiman in the band will be Will Hunt on drums and guitarist, Virus.
