LAKE CHARLES, La. —
All-around entertainer Harry Connick Jr. is headed to Southwest Louisiana for special concert this fall.
Harry Connick Jr. will perform at 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, inside the Event Center at L’Auberge du Lac Casino and Resort in Lake Charles, La. Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets for $85-$95 and can also be charged by phone at 800-745-3000. The show is for ages 21 and older only.
Although Connick is a well-known actor, he is an equally talented singer, composer, pianist and leader of a big-band. He has sold more than 25 million albums around the world, including 16 million in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
Connick has 10 number one jazz albums, more than any other U.S. jazz artist in history, and seven top 20 albums to his credit.
He is well-known for his acting, which includes stints on the hit sitcom “Will and Grace” and, most recently, a four-episode run on “Law and Order: SVU.”
Connick is no stranger to Broadway having performed his on concerts and starred in several musicals, including the 2011 run of “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.”
His most recent album, “In Concert on Broadway,” which was recorded in summer 2011 and released on CD and DVD later that year, reached number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart as well.
