BEAUMONT —
A national rock group looking to continue building its foundation as a solid touring band is back in town this Friday night.
Hell or Highwater returns to Beaumont with a concert on Friday, Jan. 4, at The Gig on Crockett Street. Admission is $5 at the door for ages 18 and older, but those with a college identification card will be admitted free of charge. Special guests include Brompton, from Katy, Texas, and Engine 69, from Houston, Texas.
The band is touring in support of its sophomore album, “Begin Again,” which was released in August 2011 on the band’s own label. Hell or Highwater, which last performed locally in October 2011 as support for 10 Years at Ford Arena, is starting a 19-date U.S. and Canadian tour and Beaumont is the first show.
The group has toured with several well known international artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Sevendust and Three Days Grace among others.
