Favorite Johnny Depp Roles
Johnny Depp's latest movie, "Dark Shadows", is not off to a great start at the box office. I even read an article saying some might be tired of the actor. Depp is one of my favorites and below, in no particular order, are my favorite roles Depp has played in movies.
Willy Wonka
This was a perfect role for Depp. He was on point and hilarious as Willy Wonka. Cry Baby Walker
"Cry Baby" is a little unknown movie with Depp which actually is a musical. He was young yet this movie was great to me and has always been a favorite. Jack Sparrow
There is no way this could not be on the list. Depp has CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow is the perfect role for this actor. There is not another actor on the planet who could have been in this role and done as well as Depp. Victor Van Dort
"The Corpse Bride" is a decent movie in my mind yet it is Depp's take on Victor Van Dort which made the movie worth watching at all. Edward Scissorhands
This one is simply a classic and does not even need a caption. To think of this movie with anyone else playiing the role is impossible. John Dillinger
Dull movie the first time I watched it and took two or three times for me to enjoy it at all. Now I like the movie and how Depp portrayed such a historice figure like Dillinger. Sands
I love this role for Depp in "Once Upon A Time in Mexico." The comedy is there and the suspense is there. If you haven't seen this movie I suggest it. Mort Rainey
Depp played someone who doesn't have a clue in life? He did it again in "Secret Window" yet this time there is a great twist in the movie. Mad Hatter
I am a huge "Alice in Wonderland" fan and Depp was the perfect guy for the Mad Hatter. He brought the character to life in a way only he can do and I applaud him for it. George Jung
The movie is "Blow" and Depp is plays infamous cocaine dealer George Jung. If I have the story correct Depp visited Jung in prison and got the inmate's approval for the movie. This is a great movie about one of the biggest criminals in US drug history. Depp helps you understand and almost feel for Jung at the end of the movie. I said there was no order in this rank yet this one is my favorite Depp role. |
