BRIDGE CITY — Bridge City firefighters were quick on the scene and quick to contain a house fire Thursday evening in the 3300 block of Ancar Road.
The fire started in the kitchen of the duplex in one of the units and caused moderate damage to the home according to Bridge City Fire Chief Brent Morris.
Morris reported no injuries were sustained to anyone in either of the units. The second unit only received smoke damage while the unit with the fire was not a total loss in his opinion. Morris though did point out he is unsure how an insurance agency will view the situation.
The fire was first reported shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Morris said the cause of the fire is still under investigation and the only details known as of Thursday night was the fire did start in the kitchen.
