Friends and family-members will hold a benefit for help a man who is known for helping others.
A benefit is being held for David Barron starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Bayou Club, located on Simmons Drive in Orange. Barron is in need of a hip replacement surgery and has no insurance, so proceeds will be used to make the down payment of the surgery.
Activities at Saturday’s benefit include live music from area bands Three Legged Dawg and The Southern Boys, as well as a raffle for a new barbecue pit.
Barbecue lunches will be available for purchase and will include a variety of options such as brisket, chicken, links and all the traditional trimmings one might expect.
A very large auction is also on tap for Saturday. Items up for bid include a lawn mower, kitchen appliances, electronics, power tools and much more.
