The public is invited to attend Shangri La’s new “Breakfast on the Bayou” program, which consists of a trip to educational outposts along Adams Bayou, a continental breakfast and entry to the Botanical Gardens. This program will take place at 7:30 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, at Shangri La, located at 2111 W. Park Ave. in Orange, Texas. Cost is $5 for members and $15 for non-members; call 409-670-9799 to make a reservation. Attendees should plan to arrive no later than 7:15 a.m.
These environmental excursions will be lead by Shangri La educators, who will share their knowledge of the native critters and spectacular facts about the Bayou. Visitors are asked to arrive early, no later than 7:15 a.m., to facilitate each program starting promptly at 7:30 a.m. At the conclusion of each “Breakfast on the Bayou” program, attendees will have an opportunity to stroll the Gardens and see the display of unique scarecrow designs lining the pathways of Scarecrow Festival.
Shangri La members will pay $5 per person and non-members will pay $15 per person and advanced reservations are required as space is limited. Payment must be made by credit card only. No cash or checks will be accepted for this program. To RSVP, call 409-670-9799. Any cancellations must be made within 72 hours prior to the scheduled trip, and failure to do so within this time, will result in the credit card being charged the full admission price.
