A five year old female is assulted while walking on the street. A mother and her child were walking on 2nd Street at 8:21 p.m. on Monday, when a man approached them and threw beer on the mother. According to police report from the City of Oraneg Police Department, the man punched the child in the face after she asked why he did that. The police officer who met with the mother said he saw a red mark on the child’s face, according to the report. The man walked off after striking the child. The case remains under investigation. Suspect caught on video A City of Orange Police officer met with a man at the 6300 block of Chase Stone in reference to a burglary of a vehicle at 9 p.m. on Monday. According to the police report, the man and his wife had arrived home and shortly afterwards received a call from his credit card company’s fraud division. The fraud representative said charges were made at a gas station and needed to be verified. It was determined the wife’s purse had been taken from the vehicle parked in the garage. Surveillance cameras shows a truck stopped at the end of the driveway and a white male wearing a T-shirt, khakis shorts and white shoes is seen walking into the garage and leaving shortly afterwards. The pick-up truck is an unknown make or model. The case remains under investigation.
